Lynne has worked as a creative arts therapist &/or counsellor for Mirikai Rehabilitation Services for one year, Palm Beach Currumbin Clinic for nine years, Qld Corrective Services for ten years. Over the past ten years, her focus has been specialising in creative arts and spiritual retreats through her own business and as a spiritual director team member of the Jesuit Ignatuab Spirituality Australia, Faber Centre of Ignatian Spirituality Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, since 2017 .

Lynne is a qualified Creative Arts Therapist. Being an artist most of her life, Lynne's interest expands towards expressive arts as a means towards wellbeing for herself and all others. Creative arts reveal a meaningful purpose for healing, meditation, contemplation and self-inquiry - physically, emotionally, mentally and spirituality. Lynne companions others who explore unconscious experiences in an open and creative way, constructing pathways to new understanding and navigating life-giving choices.

Her practice provides a respectful, non-judgemental, supportive, confidential space for others to creatively self inquire into making visible, that which has been unknown, to gain personal freedom. During your time together, Lynne would support you in a non directive way towards you being the expert of your own life.

I have known Lynne Head-Weir very well for over forty years and have been aware of her expertise as an artist for much longer. My own background is as a qualified Social Worker/Counsellor and I worked in the field for over seventeen years. During that time I managed a specialist youth and family counselling service for a period of ten years.  I implemented and encouraged the use of art in therapy throughout my social work and counselling career.

Over the past thirty years I have attended many of Lynne’s excellent art workshops as well as co-presented with her on several of these workshops.  I also attended many one on one art sessions/lessons with Lynne. Personally I gained so much from attending Lynne’s workshops and individual sessions.  I felt supported and encouraged and gained a renewed enthusiasm regarding my own progress and growth.  At no time did I feel pressured or pushed; Lynne always worked in a non-directive and respectful way, gently encouraging me to express any concerns or fears through my artwork.
