Creative Art Pathways as a divine bridge came about by Lynne combining her experiences and knowledge as a practicing artist, creative arts therapist and spiritual director. The focus for an artist and a creative arts therapist is be supported in being responsible for their own lives. As a spiritual director, the focus is God being the expert of the other's life. Lynne supports others in their quest for personal responsibility as well as their own understanding of the sacred, living deeply with mystery and ongoing revelations within themselves. When processing life experiences through creative expression, we open ourselves up to the movement of the Divine bridge within us.
My spontaneously drawn character says " My name is Joy.
With joy, I am look back in hindsight though my day.
What has drawn me towards God?
I noticed God's Spirit of Joy in the taste and smell of my first coffee,
talking and listening with my friend and seeing my plants grow. Thank you."

"Over these past years I have worked as an Art Therapist and also as a Spiritual Director.
At times I exercised these roles separately; at other times together.
When asked: "How do you distinguish psychotherapy from spiritual direction?"
my response has been, "By the intention and statement of the person who comes to see me."

My journal entry of a spontaneous drawn character called Samson.
Samson says "I lift up my eyes to the sun. I thank God for all of his creation. Through the warmth of the light, I find the Spirit of joy and consolation within me."

We are created to use “the entire gamut of human responses to reality – interest, love, every kind of creativity, enjoyment, together with inner responses such as the acceptance or not of situations, and the meanings we are free to confer on these, etc.”

Finding God in all thing, creating is one sacred gift in my life. Creativity fits easily into the First Principle and Foundation of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises. Contemplative arts is life giving for my soul and for others’ souls within all the ecosystem.

1. The clouds say "I am holding you lightly".
2. Conversation in the Spirit. The sacred listener hears "You are loved".
